Formulation Development
Parijat R&D Formulation Laboratory in Ambala is a Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Government of India-accredited laboratory. Parijat develops new innovative formulations and combination products through strong chemistry skills and in-house laboratory skills and field tests, to achieve the following objectives:
- Substitution of expensive MNC patented / off-patent products
- Pest & geographic specific formulation
- Formulations that enable registrations at substantially lower costs
- New formulations for product lifecycle expansion
MOLECULES | FORMULATIONS & TARGET OBJECTIVES |
---|---|
Combination Products – Specific Formulations | |
Fipronil + Acetamiprid | Combination products to lower costs for farmers |
Imidaclorpid + Thiram | Lower cost compared to MNC’s Imida product (which was expensive) |
Metataxyl + Phosphonate | Substitution of technical being regulated for residues. Also phosphonate acts as a fertilizer. |
Acetamiprid + Cypermethrin | Combination of 2 products to broaden its use |
New Products – Substitution of MNC patented / off-patent products | |
Clodinafop | Overcome MNC’s product introduction through formulation differentiation in Canada |
Fluroxypyr | Overcome MNC’s patent product through formulation differentiation in Canada |
New formulations enabling registrations at lower costs | |
Alpha cypermethirin | To mitigate expensive toxicology & field trial costs for registrations in France by developing identical formulation to MNC(s) using an existing EU regulation |
Multiple formulations from one technical | |
Fipronil | Fipronil 5% SC, Fipronil 0.3% GR, Fipronil 80% WDG |
Pyriproxyfen | Pyriproxyfen 10% EC, Pyriproxyfen 10% + Bifenthrin 10% EC |
Azoxystrobin | Asoxystrobin 23% SC, Azoxystrobin 11.4%+ Propiconazole 11.4% EC |
