Thank you for using Parijat Bandhan (the “App”), a distributor loyalty and rewards application owned and operated by Parijat Industries (India) Limited (“Parijat”, “Company”, “we”, “our” or “us”).
Parijat is committed to protecting the privacy and security of the Personal Data of its distributors, channel partners and other authorised users who access or use the App. We recognise that your Personal Data is valuable and are committed to processing such information responsibly, lawfully and transparently. This Privacy Policy explains the manner in which the Company collects, uses, stores, processes, shares and protects your Personal Data when you register for, access or use the App and the services made available through it.
The Company processes Personal Data in accordance with the applicable laws of India, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules framed thereunder, together with any other applicable laws relating to data protection, information technology and electronic records.
By registering on or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and consent to the collection, use, storage, processing and disclosure of your Personal Data for the purposes described herein, wherever such consent is required under applicable law.
If at any time you wish to update your Personal Data, withdraw your consent, request deletion of your account or raise any grievance regarding the processing of your Personal Data, you may contact the Company through the details provided in this Privacy Policy. The Company shall endeavour to address such requests in accordance with applicable law.
Definitions:
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, unless the context otherwise requires,
“Personal Data” means any data about an individual who is identifiable by or in relation to such data.
“Consent” means any free, specific, informed, unconditional and unambiguous indication by which you signify your agreement to the processing of your Personal Data for one or more specified purposes.
“Processing” means any operation performed on Personal Data, whether wholly or partly by automated means, including collection, recording, organisation, storage, adaptation, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure, dissemination, sharing, transmission, restriction, erasure or destruction.
“User”, “You” or “Your” means any distributor, dealer, channel partner or other authorised individual who registers for or uses the App.
Applicability of this Privacy Policy:
This Privacy Policy applies to all Personal Data collected by the Company through the Parijat Bandhan App, including information collected during registration, login, participation in the rewards programme, redemption of reward points, customer support interactions, promotional campaigns and any other features or services made available through the App. This Privacy Policy applies only to the App and does not extend to any third-party websites, applications or services that may be linked through the App. Users accessing such third-party platforms shall be governed by the privacy policies of those respective platforms.
Categories of Personal Data Collected:
The Company may collect Personal Data that you voluntarily provide during registration or while using the App, including your name, mobile number, email address, distributor code, dealer code, business name, address, state, city, GST details, identification details, profile information and any other information required for verification or participation in the Parijat Bandhan rewards programme.
The Company may also collect information relating to your transactions within the App, including reward points earned, reward points redeemed, purchase information submitted for claiming rewards, redemption history, communication preferences, customer support requests, promotional participation and any information necessary for administering the loyalty programme.
In addition to the information voluntarily provided by you, the App may automatically collect certain technical information including the device model, operating system, device identifiers, IP address, application version, log information, crash reports, internet protocol information, browser information where applicable, network information, date and time of access and usage analytics for improving the performance, stability and security of the App.
Where necessary for providing specific features of the App, the Company may also collect your geographical location, photographs, documents or images uploaded by you through the App and other information generated through the permissions granted by you on your mobile device.
How Personal Data is Collected:
The Company collects Personal Data directly from you when you register on the App using your mobile number and complete the OTP verification process, update your profile, participate in promotional schemes, upload invoices or supporting documents, redeem reward points, communicate with the Company through the App or otherwise voluntarily provide information while using the App.
The App also collects certain information automatically through the operation of the App, including information relating to your device, usage patterns, diagnostics, performance monitoring and security. Such information assists the Company in improving user experience, detecting technical issues, preventing fraudulent activities and maintaining the security and integrity of the App.
In certain cases, the Company may receive information relating to you from its distributors, sales personnel, authorised business partners, technology service providers or internal business systems for the purposes of user verification, administration of the loyalty programme and providing services through the App.
Purpose of Collecting Personal Data:
The Company collects and processes Personal Data for the purpose of registering users on the App, verifying their identity through OTP authentication, administering and managing the Parijat Bandhan rewards programme, allocating and redeeming reward points, processing claims submitted through the App, maintaining user accounts, providing customer support, communicating important updates, responding to queries, improving the functionality and security of the App, conducting analytics, preventing fraud, complying with legal and regulatory obligations and protecting the legitimate interests of the Company.
The Company may also use your Personal Data to send notifications relating to reward points, promotional campaigns, new product launches, scheme updates, redemption status, important announcements, maintenance notifications and other communications relevant to your participation in the Parijat Bandhan programme. Where required under applicable law, such communications shall be sent only with your consent or as otherwise permitted by law.
Permissions Used by the App:
In order to provide the services and features available through the App, the Company may request access to certain features of your mobile device. Such permissions are sought only where necessary for the functioning of the App and are used solely for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
The App may request access to your device’s camera to enable you to scan QR codes affixed to Parijat products for product authentication, verification, participation in promotional schemes, allocation of reward points and other programme-related activities, as well as to capture and upload invoices, product images, supporting documents or any other photographs required for verification of claims, participation in promotional schemes or redemption of reward points. Images and QR code data captured through the App shall be used solely for the purpose for which they are submitted or scanned and shall not be accessed or used without your knowledge.
The App may request access to your device’s photo gallery or storage to enable you to upload existing photographs, invoices or other documents required for registration, verification, customer support or participation in the rewards programme. The Company does not access or collect files stored on your device except those specifically selected and uploaded by you.
The App may request access to your device’s location services in order to verify distributor locations, facilitate participation in location-based promotional programmes, improve service delivery, prevent fraudulent activities and enhance the overall functioning of the App. Where location information is collected, such information shall be used only for legitimate business purposes connected with the operation of the App. You may disable location access through your device settings; however, certain features of the App may not function properly if such permission is denied.
The App may also request permission to send push notifications to your device in order to notify you regarding reward points, redemption status, promotional campaigns, product launches, scheme updates, account-related information, security alerts and other important communications relating to your use of the App. You may choose to disable push notifications through your device settings at any time, although doing so may result in your not receiving important updates relating to your account.
OTP Authentication:
For the purpose of secure registration and login, the App uses One-Time Password (“OTP”) authentication. Your mobile number is collected and verified through an OTP sent to the number provided by you. OTPs are used solely for authentication and account security and are not retained by the Company beyond the period necessary to complete the verification process.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for ensuring that no unauthorised person gains access to your registered mobile number or your account. The Company shall not be responsible for any loss or misuse arising from your failure to safeguard your account credentials or mobile device.
Cookies and Similar Technologies:
Although the App does not generally use browser cookies in the traditional sense, it may utilise software development kits (SDKs), device identifiers, analytics tools and similar technologies to understand user behaviour, improve application performance, identify technical issues, enhance security and provide a better user experience.
Such technologies may collect information regarding application usage, device information, operating system details, application version, crash reports and diagnostic information. The Company uses such information solely for improving the functionality, reliability and security of the App and does not use such information for any unlawful purpose.
Disclosure of Personal Data:
The Company treats your Personal Data as confidential and does not sell, rent or otherwise commercially exploit your Personal Data. However, the Company may disclose or share your Personal Data with its employees, group companies, affiliates, authorised distributors, technology service providers, cloud hosting providers, payment partners, analytics service providers, consultants, auditors, legal advisors and other service providers who require access to such information for the operation, maintenance and improvement of the App or for providing services on behalf of the Company.
The Company may also disclose Personal Data where such disclosure is required under applicable law, pursuant to an order of a court or governmental authority, for complying with statutory or regulatory obligations, for the prevention or investigation of fraud or cyber incidents, for protecting the rights, property or safety of the Company or its users, or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
Where Personal Data is shared with third-party service providers, the Company shall endeavour to ensure that such parties process such information only for the purposes authorised by the Company and maintain appropriate standards of confidentiality and security.
Security of Personal Data:
The Company adopts reasonable technical, administrative and organisational safeguards to protect Personal Data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, destruction or misuse. Such safeguards include secure servers, access controls, encryption where appropriate, authentication mechanisms, monitoring systems and internal security procedures designed to protect the confidentiality and integrity of Personal Data.
Access to Personal Data is restricted only to those employees, consultants and authorised personnel who require such information for the performance of their official responsibilities and who are subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations.
While the Company endeavours to use commercially reasonable measures to protect Personal Data, no method of electronic transmission or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Accordingly, although the Company strives to protect your Personal Data, it cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted through the internet or stored electronically.
In the event of any Personal Data breach requiring notification under applicable law, the Company shall take appropriate measures to investigate, mitigate and respond to such breach in accordance with the applicable legal requirements.
Retention of Personal Data:
The Company shall retain Personal Data only for so long as it is necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, administer the Parijat Bandhan rewards programme, maintain user accounts, comply with legal and regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, enforce contractual arrangements and protect the legitimate interests of the Company.
Where you request deletion of your account, the Company shall delete or anonymise your Personal Data within a reasonable period, except to the extent that retention of certain information is required under applicable law, for legitimate business purposes or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
Rights of Users:
Subject to the provisions of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable laws, you shall have the right to seek information regarding the Personal Data processed by the Company, request correction, completion or updating of inaccurate or incomplete Personal Data, request erasure of your Personal Data where such erasure is permissible under applicable law, withdraw your Consent where the processing of your Personal Data is based on such Consent, nominate another individual to exercise your rights in accordance with applicable law and seek redressal of any grievance relating to the processing of your Personal Data.
The Company shall endeavour to acknowledge and respond to all legitimate requests within the timelines prescribed under applicable law. The exercise of such rights shall be subject to verification of identity and such conditions or limitations as may be prescribed under applicable law.
Account Deletion:
You may request deletion of your Parijat Bandhan account at any time through the account settings available within the App or by submitting a request to the Company using the contact details provided in this Privacy Policy.
Upon receipt of a valid request, the Company shall deactivate your account and delete or anonymise your Personal Data within a reasonable period, except where the Company is required or permitted to retain certain information for compliance with applicable laws, resolution of disputes, prevention of fraud, maintenance of financial or accounting records, enforcement of contractual obligations or protection of the Company’s legal rights.
Deletion of your account may result in the permanent loss of your reward points, redemption history, transaction records and access to benefits available under the Parijat Bandhan programme, except where retention of such information is required by law.
Children’s Privacy:
The Parijat Bandhan App is intended exclusively for authorised distributors, dealers and channel partners of the Company and is not intended for use by children. The Company does not knowingly collect or process Personal Data relating to children through the App.
If the Company becomes aware that Personal Data relating to a child has inadvertently been collected through the App, appropriate steps shall be taken to delete such information in accordance with applicable law.
Changes to this Privacy Policy:
The Company reserves the right to modify, amend or update this Privacy Policy from time to time in order to reflect changes in applicable laws, regulatory requirements, technological developments, business practices or the functionality of the App.
Any revised Privacy Policy shall be made available through the App or published on the Company’s official website and shall become effective from the date of such publication unless otherwise specified. Continued use of the App after such revision shall constitute your acknowledgement of the updated Privacy Policy to the extent permitted under applicable law.
Users are encouraged to periodically review this Privacy Policy to remain informed regarding the Company’s privacy practices.

Any questions, requests, complaints or grievances relating to this Privacy Policy or the collection, use, storage, processing or disclosure of your Personal Data may be addressed to the Company’s designated Grievance Officer.

Governing Law:
This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Privacy Policy or the processing of Personal Data by the Company shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at New Delhi, India.
