PRODUCT FEATURES

  • Broad Spectrum: Extensive control on Broad and grassy leaf weeds
  • Prolonged Effect: Good control on a few hard to kill weeds for longer duration
  • Rain fastness: Tasar has good rain fastness of 3hours and it is present in soil for longer duration which provides good control on weeds germinating from seeds post application.

MODE OF ACTION

  • The imidazolinone herbicides (imazethapyr and imazamox) inhibit acetolactate synthase (ALS) or
acetahydoxyacid synthase (AHAS), a key enzyme in the biosynthesis of branched-chain amino acids . Once in the phloem and translocated to the site of action, the imidazolinones inhibit
ALS or AHAS and lead to the disruption of the DNA synthesis and cell growth causing death of meristematic cells resulting in plant death.

METHOD & TIME OF APPLICATION

  • TASAR is recommended as a early post emergence herbicides when weeds are in 2-3 leaf stage.
