MODE OF ACTION
- Jonga belongs to the neonicotinoid group of insecticide and it acts on the central nervous system of insects
- Immediately after coming to the contact/intaking the JONGA insect stops feeding
- Affected sucking insects do not penetrate the plant tissue again
- It interferes with postsynaptic nicotinic acetyl choline receptors site of the insect nervous system
- Due to irreversible blockage of postsynaptic nAChRs leads to the hyperexcitation of the nerves
- Hyperexcitation followed by convulsions and eventual paralysis of the insects. This results the death of insects
METHOD & TIME OF APPLICATION
- JONGA is used for foliar spray as well as soil drench
- Apply first spray during at initial pest appearance and repeat 2-3 sprays at 10-15 days interval depending on the level of pest intensity
- Soil drench: Apply root zone before appearance of pest as soil drench, once during the crop season
- It is advisable to alternate with other group of insecticides to avoid resistance problem in long run
SAFETY INSTRUCTION AND ANTIDOTE
- Do not spray during Foggy climate
- Wear safety equipment’s such as gloves, aprons, masks, etc.
- Choose the correct nozzle for spray
- Spray in the direction of wind
- Do not smoke, drink, eat and chew anything while spraying
- Avoid contact with mouth, eyes and skin
- Avoid inhalation the spray mist, fog and vapors
- Take bath properly after application
