MODE OF ACTION

  • Propineb interferes at different locations in the metabolism of the fungi; on several points of the respiration chain, in the metabolism of carbohydrates and proteins, in the cell membranes.
  • This multi-site mode of action of Propineb prevents development of resistance in the fungi. It is indispensable in anti-resistance strategies due to its special mode of action.

METHOD & TIME OF APPLICATION

  • 1st spray at the time of appearance of disease.
  • 2nd spray at the interval of 10-15 days.

SAFETY INSTRUCTION AND ANTIDOTE

  • Uniform spray should be advisable
  • Do not mix with bare hands
  • Keep away from foodstuffs, empty foodstuff containers and animals
  • Wear safety equipment’s such as gloves, aprons, masks, etc.
  • Do not smoke, drink, eat and chew anything while broadcasting
  • Avoid contact with mouth, eyes and skin
  • Take bath properly after application
  • Antidote – No specific antidote is known. Treat symptomatically
