MODE OF ACTION

  • NAGARA works by interfering with the transmission of stimuli in the insect nervous system. Specifically, it causes blockage in nicotinergic neuronal pathway
  • This blockage of nicotinic acetylcholine receptors leads to the accumulation of acetylcholine, an important neurotransmitter, resulting in the paralysis and eventual death of the insect pests

METHOD & TIME OF APPLICATION

  • First spray is recommended at appearance of pest infestation and subsequent 2-3 sprays at weekly interval depends on severity of pest
  • Nagara can be applied as a foliar spray as well as can also be used for Soil application and seed treatment.
  • Take a small quantity of water in a container and dissolve required quantity of NAGARA in it. Stir this solution properly and mix it with the remaining quantity of water

SAFETY INSTRUCTION AND ANTIDOTE

  • Uniform spray should be advisable
  • Do not spray during foggy climate
  • Do not spray against the wind direction
  • Do not mix with bare hands
  • Wear safety equipment’s such as gloves, aprons, masks, etc.
  • Do not smoke, drink, eat and chew anything while spraying
  • Avoid contact with mouth, eyes and skin
  • Take bath properly after application
  • Antidote – No specific antidote is known. Treat symptomatically
